Robin finally banked her first JUMBO trout this afternoon. (FYI: That's a hefty 18 incher)

A couple of weeks ago I went up to Tucannon with just my fishing buddies. We usually hike during the middle of the day, and this time we went up to this amazing waterfall at the beginning of the Tucannon River. It's about a three mile hike up the mountain, but well worth it. (and the water is freezing... er... I mean invigorating)

Memorial Day Weekend
I can't believe how fast this past few weeks have gone by.
Robin is already in her second trimester!
We have another baby appointment this week, but Robin tells me there's no chance of an ultrasound this week.
Which, I guess is okay because it means everything is going good with the baby.
It doesn't look like we are going to go camping this weekend though. I am REALLY dissappointed, but Robin is just not having fun fishing anymore.
I don't understand why not, but I'm pretty sure I can still get a daytrip to the mountains at least.
The girls and I were going to head to Columbia Park Pond today, but when we got up at 8:00 am it was raining pretty steady. By noon it was still raining so we headed over to one of my friends so Daddy could play cards instead.
Then of course, Robin gets off of work early and we're back at the house by 1:30 to find Mommy asleep on the couch.
Oh well, I guess I'll go fishing later. MAYBE.
It depends on whether I get permission.

A New Place To Fish
I'm getting a little spoiled this week.
On Friday Robin took the day off and we headed out at 4:30 am to Tucannon and a full day of fishing. Caught some BIG ones.
On Saturday morning, me and my buddies headed back out to Tucannon for some more fishing. Of course we packed the cooler full of beer and later fish.
On Sunday I didn't get to fish, but we took the girls to Chuck E. Cheese's. They love that place now.
On Monday I decided to check out the lake next to the Playground of Dreams in Kennewick. It is really only for kids and families, so we had never given the place much thought. We always just walked around throwing bread at seagulls and ducks.
Well, the girls and I discovered a little piece of heaven right in town. Chloe and Mikayla hooked into four triploids (trout over 2 pounds) and several others, none of which were under 8 inches.
I love this time of year up here. When you throw a fly out on the water, fish literally jump out of the water and thrash all the way to shore. Chloe and Mikayla are hooked. We went twice today alone.
Eating fresh trout for dinner is AWESOME. The girls are so good at using our poles that tomorrow I am going to go buy them both real rods. No more 3 foot Barbie poles. Hell, even with those Chloe can cast a good 30 yards out.
BTW: Still no word on our latest offer on the house.
