So it seems that our furniture will be arriving finally from Oklahoma in the morning. At 8:00 am. While this may not seem early to you, it does to the girls. They are going to be very unhappy with the noise.
They haven't gotten their internal clocks adjusted to the new time zone yet and although you would think they would get up earlier, they do not. They get up at 10:00 here.
It's gonna be very loud in the morning. Robin will be gone by 6:30. She gets to miss the unpacking, the rude awakening, and the fun. It's gonna be like Christmas except I know what I'm getting and I already can't live without it.
Especially the toys, extra TVs, the TIVO, the movies, the VCR, the toys, the toys, the toys, and the all other things that keep the girls busy while I am trying to get something accomplished during the day. Oh, and my toys. I can't wait to be able to set up my office with my stuff.
I'm going to get a big poster board and make sign for my door, just like when I was younger. Except this one is going to be cool with the new Darth Vader cut out I got from WallyWorld saying, "This is Daddy's Room!" OK maybe not, but I did go get the child proof kit from WallyWorld with the door knob guards. Chloe hasn't figured them out yet.
I did get the collector's edition of cheese crackers with the new Darth Vader art on it, so I will have to decide whether to cut up the box or not.
I'm posting pictures from the phone we took before leaving Oklahoma in a little bit, but tomorrow I'll post some of the new house and our view of the mountains.
The views from our side of the Tri-Cities are quite spectacular I think. There are three rivers that converge here along with the foothills of the Cascades. There is no major downtown area with tall buildings in any of the cities and most of the area is spread out.
The girls love the parks here. They are all plastic and easy to climb. It's been unseasonably warm with temps around 75-80 this week. Tomorrow it is supposed to drop to the 50's, just as my cooler clothes arrive from OKC.
I wish I hadn't went out and spent all that money on sweaters and fleece before we left because that is all I brought in the car. It was colder in Oklahoma.
